Your recordings and permission
Use StemVocal only for recordings you own or have permission to upload, process and use. Obtain any consent needed from recorded people. Uploading a recording does not transfer its ownership to us or grant you additional rights in someone else’s material. You authorize us and our processing providers to store and process your upload solely to provide the requested service and operate it securely. Do not submit illegal content, attempt to access another user’s files or evade service limits.
Transcription and review
Automatic speech recognition can omit words, add incorrect words or mislabel speakers. Review transcripts against the recording before relying on them. StemVocal does not certify transcripts, identify speakers, provide legal or medical advice, or guarantee a particular accuracy. Speaker labels are editable estimates. Subtitles retain the recording’s timeline; corrections may require a final timing check in your video editor. The service does not download from YouTube or third-party media links.
Free jobs and paid credits
The shared StemVocal allowance provides three free jobs per UTC day. A free transcription file can be up to 30 minutes. The audio transcription, video transcription and music separation sites share that allowance. Free jobs do not use purchased credits. Playback, editing and downloads of an existing result do not start a new job.
You must choose the paid transcription action before credits are reserved. One credit covers each started 30 minutes; a 31-minute file uses two credits. Paid files can be up to three hours, and all transcription uploads have a 1 GB limit. The processor verifies duration. Two paid jobs can be active per account. The estimate is reserved first. When processing verifies the actual duration, any surplus reserved units are returned before the final cost is spent. Credits are spent when a valid transcript is ready. Failed or timed-out jobs return their reserved credits to the original grant, subject to its original expiry, refund adjustments and holds. A transcript with no detected speech is a completed processing job.
Purchases and subscriptions
Prices are shown in US dollars before applicable tax. Checkout shows the final amount. Pack credits do not expire. Monthly allowances renew at the stated price and expire at the end of their paid billing period; they are used before pack credits. Cancel a subscription through your account’s payment portal. Cancellation ends future renewal according to the terms shown there. Existing credit packs work across StemVocal. Our music separator uses one credit per separation, subject to its separate file limits.
Stripe hosts checkout and payment management. No signup is required before payment. Credits become available in the checkout browser once payment is confirmed. Use the checkout email to restore purchases on another device. Contact help@acapellaextractor.com about a purchase or processing problem. Any rights to refunds or remedies required by applicable law are unaffected by these terms.
Availability and keeping your work
Capacity limits can temporarily pause new jobs. Uploaded recordings and results are available for 24 hours; download the work you want to keep. The service is not a permanent archive. Local edits are saved on the current device when browser storage is available, and clearing that storage removes them. See the privacy policy for retention and deletion details. We may update the service and these terms; the current terms apply to new use and do not remove rights already attached to completed purchases.
